Finance ministry: Russia’s Jan–Mar budget deficit at 2.4 tln rbl

MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s federal budget deficit amounted to 2.4 trillion rubles in January–March, the Finance Ministry said on Friday.

Revenue shrank by 21% on the year to 5.677 trillion rubles with the energy revenue plummeting by 45% to 1.635 billion rubles due to the oil price decline and lower gas exports.

The non-energy revenue decreased by 4% to 4.042 trillion rubles.

Budget spending soared by 34% to 8.077 trillion rubles.
